Creating Storyboards

A storyboard is a tool to help layout the look, feel, and flow of a project. At least one storyboard should be created for each scene. A storyboard should contain a drawing of what a scene will look like, how long it will be, and a brief description of any special effects and music. Most importantly it should include the script for the scene. The script may incorporate dialog, narration, graphic data, or other ways to present the content.

  • Example of storyboard for an opening for the project. (This was used in putting together the animation introduction for this WebQuest.)

Focus questions

The following questions should be answered in your proposed documentary. Your t eam's creativity will determine how you present the answers. Use the suggested on-line resources as well as the activities in the Astrobiology Curriculum to help you answer the questions. You can also use other references supplied in class or that you find on your own. Keep track of any resources used and cite them in a credits scene at the end of your documentary.
